Information on promoting the Permits Protect message
The Permits Protect program was designed to help consumers, in particular home owners, remodelers and other property owners, have a better idea of how permits help protect their property. In an effort to get this message out, the logo and promotional materials were created. BCD would be happy to assist anyone interested in using these materials.

Contractors, retailers, trade and industry associations and local building departments may tailor and use the Permits Protect informational and promotional materials available in the "Toolkit" found bellow.

When you make major changes to the content of these materials to fit your needs, please contact the Permits Protect Manager. BCD would like to have samples of these enhanced materials for our records.

While the Building Codes Division has trademark protected the Permits Protect logo, the division authorizes logo usage in materials or advertising that promotes using permits and licensed contractors.

Please note: Using Permits Protect information, logo, materials or advertising does not in any way constitute a state endorsement of your business, association or department, and may not be used as such.

What's next

The Permits Protect consumer protection program is moving into a new phase. BCD is requesting proposals for an enhancement of the media used to promote the program. We hope you will see changes in the program soon, here at the Web site and in other mediums. We will not change the current logo and branding of Permits Protect. BCD is proud of the fact that this logo is on shirts, local government vehicles and other forms of advertisement all over Oregon.

Thank you for supporting this program and look for ways to build on this support for the Permits Protect program in the future.
